About After 8:

The After 8 Band is an 8-piece band packing a powerful 3-piece horn section (trumpet, saxophone, and trombone), with a groove that's sure to keep you moving all night long. Their musical influences reflect their true New Orleans heritage. The band covers a wide variety of music, from the 1950s to today’s hot hits, while adding a touch of New Orleans-style funk to a high energy show.

The original dance and party band was formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2003. They started out playing a mixture of covers, combined with original music, at some of the most popular clubs throughout Louisiana. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the band was dispersed throughout the country, leaving the need to regroup with a fresh set of talent. In December of 2005, as New Orleans was pulling itself back together, After 8 was reborn. With the pool of musicians even more concentrated than ever, some of the top musicians in Southeast Louisiana came together to propel them to new heights as a premier dance and party band.
