About Bag of Donuts:
As a party band, Bag of Donuts covers a wide variety of music from the 1960's through early 2000 alternative rock, including themes from TV shows and movies. They are a New Orleans-based party band who are known for their wild stage antics, outlandish costumes and strange renditions of popular songs.Since 1988, Bag of Donuts has entertained and "offended" thousands of people bystealing their hearts and other peoples songs. In March of 1999, the Donuts released their debut CD "Glazed and Confused" and are now preparing for their next original project.
Bag of Donuts enjoys and outstanding reputation as a professional party band, through their creativity, talent, and by winning "Best New Cover Band" in 1997's Best of the Beat awards in New Orleans and "Best Cover Band" in 2000 and 2001, and another Best of Beat award in 2003.
Bag of Donuts is made up of five characters. John Duplantis is the band's easy-to-love front man, who can make an audience leave their worries at the door and enter a world of sheer stupidity, hilarity, and rock and roll bliss. Kevin George is the thunder behind the storm, clowning on the drums, and cranking out new tunes as the main song writer of the band. Steve Bouton is the lead guitarist, whose witty wisecracks and vocals keep the crowd on their toes. Jonathan Hoerner is the Kiss look-alike guitarist who makes sure the crowd remembers that the show is both rock and roll and comedy. Jerry Christopher, another master of stupidity and jaw-dropping bass playing. This Bag of Donuts has more than a baker's dozen of road training, entertainment, and performing under in the bag. Their stage show is steamin' hot and ready to go even higher.
