Hailing from the central town of Alexandria, David has steadily built his reputation as an entertainer playing high-energy musically diverse shows driven by his soul drenched voice. America got a taste of David’s promising talents when he made the finals of Nashville Star. David is delivering on that promise.All across the country, David’s loyal followers and new listeners are raving about his newest CD titled “All I Really Wanted To Say”. It was released in March 2011 and has something for everyone. The emotional song “Touch” carries an important message about the connection all of us share. David doesn’t neglect his fans that are looking to have a good time. The bar room rocker “Live, Laugh, Love & Drink” was designed to get the party started and get it’s listeners on their feet. David’s romantic side is revealed through the tender “Evening, All Afternoon” and the plaintive “All I Really Wanted To Say”. The current single, “ Twenty Years Late” is a heartfelt anthem to all mothers, and is sure to be a classic. In the end, all of the songs on the CD shine because they are sung from David’s heart and soul.
David recently reflected on the CD, “I would like people who listen to this album to look at the songs as a slide show of my life. Every song holds true with my life experiences. It’s the first consideration when I choose the songs to record and it’s certainly factors heavily in the songs I write. A song has to make me feel something the first time I hear it. If it’s up-tempo, the song should leave me smiling or in the mood for a party. If it’s a ballad, I should feel the emotion the first time I hear it. I’ll cry and feel a real sense of connection to the song’s lyrics.” David uses his concerts as a barometer for songs that work for him. David is always geared up to take his audience to another level. “No question, I’m always thinking about my live shows as I put an album together. I try to keep things rocking onstage. People may be seeing the Cajun in me, we’re energetic.” When it comes to David, that’s an understatement.
David signed with Aria Records Nashville spring 2011, and released the current single, “Twenty Years Late” to radio April 4. He has been on the road non-stop since visiting radio and bringing his music to fans coast to coast.
