Ivory Joe’s been groovin' that funky music all his life. By the time he was fourteen, in Lexington, Kentucky, Ivory Joe was wearin' a zoot suit, blowing the sax, romancing his 'harp', and 'burning up' the piano in juke joints on the wrong side of the tracks. It's in his blood. His grandfather, Daddy Red, was a well-known big band leader and lovingly left Ivory Joe the very sax he plays today.On from Kentucky, throughout the United States, and overseas, Ivory Joe's been tinklin' those ivories ever since. You may have seen Ivory Joe alive and jivin' on Nashville Now, the Grand Ol' Opry, or Austin City Limits. Ivory Joe's toured with such notables as Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings, Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, and Sweethearts of the Rodeo.
But, Ivory Joe's best show is himself. Ivory Joe's got that mojo thang', baby, and will keep a crowd, standing room only, jam-packed, rockin' and rollin'.
