About Jarod Foster:
Jarod Foster was born on March 17, 1981 to Corey and Lisa Foster in Vincent, AL. He grew up in a blue collar family, roofing houses and any other odd end jobs to help pay bills. After graduating from Vincent High School in 1999, Jarod attended college at Troy State University where he participated in collegiate athletics for a brief period of his life.While being an active brother in the Delta Chi fraternity, he was introduced to Wayne Mills who was an inspiration for him to pursue his passion for country music. After a sports injury shortened his athletic career, he turned all his passion and energy toward his love for music. Jarod has played shows for twelve years and toured the college circuit throughout the Southeast and lower Midwest. After taking a brief leave of absence from playing the circuits, he realized that he could no longer deny his love for entertaining the crowd.
Jarod has since moved forward and taken his drive and determination to Nashville in hopes to make a name for himself on a worldwide level. Jarod is hard at work in the studios cutting songs; but his love is playing for the crowds and has started back touring while trying to make his way in the country music industry.
Jarod tries to carry the burdens of the working man in his songs which are true to his heart and has meaning in his personal life. Jarod says “I have always tried to capture a crowd. I can remember my dad telling me about the concerts that he, his friends and siblings used to attend. I remember how he used to still get worked up about it twenty years later, like it was the night before. I want to leave that kind of impression on the fans when they leave my shows.” Another thing that Jarod tries to impress upon a crowd is the way his father taught him how to work hard. He says,” My father always told me that something that is free is not worth having but, if you work hard and earn it, then you never want to give it up and you respect everything that it gives back to you. That is the way that I feel about my music, and the other people’s music that I play.” Jarod is passionate about the music he grew up listening to. Jarod says,” I grew up listening to the Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band, Skynyrd, and all of the great country music, and Southern Rock from the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. I try to relay my passion for that genre of music and some of the music played today.”
Since moving to Nashville Jarod has performed with Superstars such as: Jamey Johnson, Tracy Byrd, John Michael Montgomery, Cody Canada, Stoney Larue, Toby Keith; etc..... In 2008 Jarod played over 180 shows for the Make a Wish foundation throughout the Southeast, as well as having his song Better Days played on Radio stations out in the Midwest and Southwest and doing several radio interviews, as well as news paper interviews! Jarod says he is looking forward to the coming years and touring with his band “The Hen House Roosters”!!
