Permanent Vacation is an experienced six-piece cover band (four College of Charleston Alumni) from Charleston, South Carolina with an energetic attitude and an entertaining performance. Permanent Vacation, with our variety of well known songs guarantee a great time at every show. Permanent Vacation separates us from other bands through our broad range and diversity of songs. Our sets consist of various cover songs from beach music (Jimmy Buffett, The Drifters, Otis Redding), to classics (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison), to modern favorites (80's, Jack Johnson, Counting Crows). Permanent Vacation adjusts our sets to be the perfect match for every occasion. Our main goal is to get everyone dancing and singing along to the songs that they already know and love! Whether you are hosting an oyster roast where shag tunes are needed, a large party where you just want to rock, or an intimate wedding or anniversary where love songs and variety are required, we are well suited for your event!
Permanent Vacation’s extensive experience has ranged from back-porch private parties to concerts for the thousands. We have been hired to perform repeatedly for an extensive list of more than fifty local bars and restaurants including The Windjammer and Wild Wing Café. We continue to supply the entertainment for numerous weddings, corporate events, charity events, fraternity & sorority socials, and even high school proms. We have played with the East Coast Party Band at the 2002 and 2005 Blessing of the Fleet in Mt. Pleasant and have opened for local favorites The Blue Dogs at the 2003 Earth Day Fair at the College of Charleston.
