About Shane Barrett:
Nashville-based Shane Barrett is an accomplished singer and guitarist, having performed many shows throughout the United States over the last twenty years. In that time he has developed an impressive repertoire of cover songs numbering in the hundreds. His song selections range from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, all the way to the present. Artists covered by Barrett include The Beatles, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, Elton John, James Taylor, Sting, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, U2 and John Mayer.Shane has also worked on the business side of the Nashville Music Industry for as long as he has been performing professionally. After graduating from Belmont University with a Music Business degree, he briefly performed as a sideman with a nationally touring country act. Shortly thereafter, Barrett began a very successful eight year run with MCA Records, where he worked under famed producer and label president Tony Brown, in the A&R Department. Later Shane moved into the music publishing field, where he served for five years as Nashville Creative Director for ole Songs, Inc. He currently owns and operates his own company, Shane Barrett Music, LLC, specializing in songwriter representation, music consulting and performing.
Shane Barrett is available to perform at a variety of functions including parties, weddings/receptions, club shows, restaurants, corporate events, and college-related activities. He is willing to travel on weekends and welcomes pre-planned song requests.
